Product Felloz

Felloz

The startup Felloz set out to make donating to NGOs feel simple and genuinely engaging. Together with the founder I shaped the product concept and feature set, co-created the brand with my friend Nina Huber, and took the design from early wireframes all the way to a high-fidelity prototype that made the vision tangible for investors.

One year later they had onboarded their first pilot customers and secured their first round of funding.

Product ibiola - car sharing

ibiola - car sharing

ibiola is a mobility software provider that helps both B2B and B2C clients manage their car parks and give users seamless access to shared vehicles. Our job wasn't just to redesign what was there — it was to rethink the entire product and create a solid foundation that could scale with the business.

As lead designer I drove the project from research and concept through UX/UI to the handoff of a comprehensive design system — giving the team a shared language to build on.

Company Website Vagabund Moto

Vagabund Moto

Vagabund Moto is a design studio. Dedicated to true creativity, never to a single product.
To function and never to hollow looks.

As the sole designer I shaped the creative direction end to end, from initial pitch and concept through storytelling, UX and visual design.

The result was awarded both a Green Panther and an Austriacus in Gold.

E-Commerce Eyeshaker

Eyeshaker

Eyeshaker is an innovative cleaning device for any kind of eyewear — optical, sun or sports. A simple product that needed an equally intuitive way to explain itself.

We created an interactive website that walks visitors through how the product works and helps them understand its simplicity and advantages. I developed detailed storyboards and prototyped the full experience, so that when it came time to brief the 3D artist and the external developer, both the motion design and the technical requirements were clearly defined.

The Pagitsch Kinderland app was designed to simplify the daily coordination between parents and educators — from schedules and drop-off times to sick leave reports and lunch bookings. The goal was to replace scattered, manual processes with one clear and reliable experience.

I owned the design from concept and UX through user testing to final handoff.

Campaign Microsite PV Planner

PV Planner

Energie Steiermark approached us to redesign their photovoltaic planner — the goal was to shift the experience from in-person sales to a fully digital flow and increase traffic along the way.

After initial research I developed multiple storytelling and interaction concepts, all with the same goals in mind: make PV planning feel both simple and exciting, and educate users enough about the topic that they'd feel confident moving forward with E-Steiermark.

Profile Lukas Guschlbauer

Hey, I'm Lukas.
Nice to meet you.

Lukas Guschlbauer

Interviews & features

I've spent 15+ years designing digital products for web and mobile — from direction and research through systems and interface design. I like work where complexity has to become clear for users and stay maintainable for teams.

My background spans design and frontend development, so I understand common stacks and constraints. That helps me translate between disciplines and keep solutions ambitious but buildable.

A growing share of my work sits where design meets AI. In day-to-day practice, tools like Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT help me explore ideas and move faster when that genuinely improves the outcome — not as a substitute for judgment or craft.

I care about the people side of the craft — mentoring, shared standards, and practical ways of working that help everyone do their best work.

I'm Lead Product Designer at StudySmarter, where I led an end-to-end redesign across web and mobile, helped move core learning workflows toward an AI-first experience, and partnered with product leadership on direction. I mentor designers and invest in design standards and systems so quality stays consistent as the product grows.

I'm not actively looking for a new role, but I'm always happy to meet interesting people.
